C/AL Code Support (Syntax Highlighting) in Araxis Merge

   Araxis Merge is well known and one of the commonly used file comparing and merging tool across the globe. Which offers Two-way & Three-way (only for Professional Edition) compare and merge changes in text files. If you want to know more about this tool visit,

Now to the point, Araxis Merge doesn’t support C/AL code and treats NAV text object as plain text so NO Syntax Highlighting. but with this simple tweak Araxis can great C/AL code editor and better at code readability.  This how Araxis will like look after this following tweak. 





I am sharing my Araxis Merge options configuration file (.mop7), where I added all the C/AL keywords.

After downloading the file import this into your Araxis merge, steps below.

1. Open Options



2. Click Open Saved Options...



3. Browse and select the downloaded .mop7 file




4. You view the changes in new configuration, click Edit Generic.. button in Options dialog.
